What happens when two Charter Fishing Captain's have the same day off work???

 

 

 WE GO FISHING! 

Yesterday, Captain Nick Wenzel and I loaded up our significant others in the boat for an afternoon of fun in the sun.  Captain Nick is a life long friend of mine and we have fished together since we were young kids.  When we get in a boat together our minds collectively think of one thing........"Big Snook" or "Big Snuuke" as the old-timer's say.  Today was no different. 

Targeting big fish in the backcountry can be hours of boredom followed by minutes of excitement.  Its an all or none type of fishing.  But the reward of the wait is always worth the waiting..........

  

In just under 4 hours of fishing for big fish only, we caught 3 oversized Redfish (9,10,10.5lbs) and one monster Snookasaurus!  The Snook went 40" and had an estimated weight over 20lbs...........Needless to say it was a successful adventure, just look at the girls big smiles!
